Tony has worked on two M14-type projects for me and I am completely satisfied.

One project was an unusual challenge as Tony had to in essence rebuild a brand new product from one of the current manufacturers. In order for all the sights to be useable, at the end of the day Tony had to replace the receiver and barrel. The rifle from the manufacturer also came with no ‘spare’ headspace, so bolt replacement and lapping was required. Tony can explain it better, but the bottom line is that instead of me shipping the rifle back and forth to the manufacturer multiple times for warranty work, Tony did it all. It was a frustrating process for both of us, but Tony never lost his patience and after a lot of work on his part produced a well-functioning rifle that should have come from the factory that way.

The second project was a bedding job for a SAI M21 stock and an LRB action. It came out great and functions perfectly.

There is a third project on the horizon that Tony will start when the receiver is available, and that tells you what I think about the quality of work Tony produces.

I cannot recommend Tony highly enough! After seeing his work through pictures on the internet and getting recommendations when asking about gunsmiths, I decided to reach out and ask if he’d tackle my one-off M1A build/re-barrel dream gun. Just getting it back here recently, I’ve gotta say that this thing is awesome! Communication was excellent from start to finish (truly appreciate the pic dump of the whole re-barrel process), turnaround was quick, and pricing was great! I opted just for the work but after test-firing it at my home range, she runs as smooth as butter. I will definitely be calling back as this build progresses and as I decide to take on other builds. Tonyben is a premier M14 builder who granted an Afghanistan veterans dream of building an M14. While building the M14, it astonished me who much attention to detail he goes into with everything on the build. The M14 we built is certainly one of a kind. It easily outshoots me. After just over 1300 rounds in the rifle, I haven’t had one single issue with the rifle…not even a stoppage. This Rifle is now my family’s heirloom.

Tony is a true M1A/M14 guru.. He has bedded 2 rifles for me flawlessly and put a much needed super tune on a factory built rifle that should have never left the factory with its accuracy plagued issues. There is more too these rifles then giving them a magic blessing and waving a wrench over the top of them proclaiming them too be good to go. 

In today’s age it’s a blessing that a younger guy is giving the old Service Rifle some much needed love and not jumping on AR train. For many years Tony was the best kept M-gun secret in the Pacific Northwest, best of luck to you in Florida!
